Family Fraud Readiness Check · For Adult Children & Caregivers

Check your family’s fraud readiness

10 questions · Usually 5–7 minutes · No name required

Fraud can happen to any family. This is not a test of your parent or loved one’s intelligence, independence or judgment. It looks at the protections your family has in place and what you have actually observed.

Answer based on what you know today. You can choose “I don’t know,” change an answer, skip a question or stop at any time. An “I don’t know” answer helps identify where a calm conversation may be useful—it does not mean fraud is happening.

We will never ask for passwords, security codes, account numbers, Social Insurance Numbers, bank balances, medical records or the amount of any loss. Your result will appear on screen. Providing an email address is optional.

Before you begin

Are you concerned that someone may be pressuring, deceiving or financially exploiting your parent or loved one right now—or that money, personal information, a security code or access to a device may have been shared recently?

This safety check is not included in the 0–30 readiness score.
